Introduce your child to dance and build a solid foundation. Children learn real skills and technique, gain flexibility and musicality, make friends and so much more. Parent participation is encouraged however not required.
Ballet training at Ardance is based on the Vaganova Method, acknowledged all over the world as the premier training syllabus of Classical Ballet. It is an extraordinary system that allows to develop the knowledge of how the body should be used in order to dance without injuries.
Developed in Russia by Agrippina Vaganova, this teaching method is praised to be the best by many, such as Mikhael Baryshnikov, Rudolph Nureyev, Natalia Makarova, Galina Ulanova, Maya Plisetskaya, George Balanchine, just to name a few. Mr. Balanchine based his own method upon his training in Vaganova.
The quality of Dancers trained in Vaganova is simply exquisite and incomparable to any other. We're proud to be the only studio in the Tri-State area offering real Russian Ballet training.
Our instructors have all been taught and trained under this Method, as well as pursuing further education in Vaganova Pedagogy to gain full knowledge of how to teach Ballet properly.
Jazz is a style that showcases a Dancer's individual style. Dancers are encouraged to execute routines with charisma and originality. Jazz assists students in gaining confidence and performing to their maximum. This style has gained popularity in recent years due to its use in TV shows and in Commercial Dance, movie videos, etc
Dancers learn Jazz phrases, combinations, leaps, spins, walks, and much more.
We encourage all Dancers to take Ballet in addition to Jazz, a solid foundation is necessary to execute this fun style properly.
Ever seen Dancing with the Stars? This popular TV show has brought much attention to this elegant and beautiful style of dance. Ballroom refers to many styles actually, Latin Ballroom - Standard - American Smooth- American Rhythm- Social Dancing.
Popular dances include : Cha Cha, Samba, Swing, Jive, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Salsa, etc.
Ballroom focuses much attention to dancing with a partner and dancing in unison. Dancers learn syllabus steps, rhythm, etiquette, etc.
Hip Hop pushes Dancers to work on their strength, flexibility, artistry and musicality through intricate fun and fast-paced funky choreography. It prepares students for careers outside of classical dance. Dancers are taught commercial dance routines.
